The worst hotel I have ever been to.

I had a very bad experience at Plaza Inn Doha hotel. This hotel was only 4 stars on paper, but in reality it was 3 or even 2 stars. Check-in time was 3 p.m. and unfortunately I arrived there at 8 a.m.. They didn't give me a room till 3 p.m. and I was ok with it because it was their regulation so I went out of the hotel and came back at 3 p.m.. I was really tired and I wanted to check-in asap. There was a turn of a noisy family befor me to check-in. There were 2 receptionist. One of them was busy with that family and the other one was free. I told the free one that I was really tired and asked him for checking-in sooner. He told me that he coudln't do it in a very disrespectful manner. After that I asked him to give me a quiet room to take a rest and the room that he gave me was really awful and I'm sure that he gave me that terrible room intentionally. My room was in a unit near an other room and the peole who accommodated there were very noisy. They were awake till 3 or 4 in the morning that caused me not to sleep well. The view of my room was a wall and construction pipes that I prefered the curtains to be closed during the day. There were no slippers and shower gel in the room. The control of the AC was shared between my room and the other room in that unit. It was too cold and I had to call receptionist several times to send someone to turn up the temperature because the control was out of the rooms. There was no hot water to take a shower. I was in this hotel for 2 nights and I will never return to this hotel. P.S: the security guy and the staff members of the restaurant were kind and hospitable.

The staff are all wonderful helpful friendly people. The facilities at the hotel were more than I expected, such as gym and swimming pool with huge soft towels provided. The buffet breakfast had a huge variety of choices. And this hotel went beyond normal by providing two 1.5 litres of water each day. The location is a quiet part of town close to the National Museum and the start of the Corniche. It is only 15 minute walk to Souq Waqif area. I highly recommend staying here.

This hotel has its share of hiccups like their keycard which may not function after being updated, hot water may not be consistently be kept warm, but all the staffs here have done their utmost best to fix the glitches and improve on existing infrastructure. They have kept the whole place really clean and made it feel like home. The people we have met is the BEST experience here in Plaza Inn Hotel. From the bellman (Dipak) to security (Christopher), reception (Joseph, Jade, Jonar, Sam, Yudi), housekeeping (Mdm Nora Flores, Ian, Anish, Nabil, Eldrise, etc), Engineers (Didn't catch their names), restaurant staffs (Nur, Abdelhay) and all the managers/supervisors that we have met. Special mention for Mr Jerick de Guia who really kept the place running so smoothly. They are such warm caring fantastic people who despite the busyness will always give you a smile. They will go out of their way to extend any help that you need. It made our maiden Doha experience a really memorable one and surely made us want to come back again.

Room is clean and comfortable Walkable distance to Souq metro Only thing they are very strict in check in by 3pm Reception is not friendly Hope management will consider with their policy for early check in if available Behind Street there is a Indian restaurant called Zaitoon amazing taste Indian cuisine on reasonable prices

Booked as part of a Qatar Airlines package. I understood it was to be 4-star. I booked two rooms, for myself, my wife, and two daughters. At check-in, all they had were two rooms located on separate floors. My room was blessed with a pigeon colony outside. Torn sheets, a shabby room, no hot water. Thankfully, we were here for 24 hours. Bafflingly, there was a set of scales in the closet, as if I'd choose a hotel on the basis that I could weigh myself. I'm chalking this one up to experience.
